This Privacy Policy applies to the KVMS / XL1 mobile application (Android and iOS), web ERP portals, and related services operated for Kameshver Vidya Matric School. This policy is intended for parents, students, teachers, staff, and administrators using the school system.

Scope for Android and iOS publishing

This policy is the official privacy policy URL used for Google Play and Apple App Store submissions for the school app package com.littlekrishna.school.

Information we collect

• Account data: name, email or phone, role (parent, student, teacher, staff), and school branch linked to your account.
• Student and academic records: attendance, fees, marks, circulars, and other data your school enters in the ERP — visible only according to your role.
• Device and session data: login tokens stored securely on your device; basic technical logs on our servers for security and troubleshooting.
• Location (teachers only): when you use attendance check-in, the app may request device location to verify you are at the school campus. We do not track location in the background.
• Uploaded files and screenshots: documents or images uploaded by authorized users for admissions, HR, or support workflows.

How we use information

We use data to operate the school ERP, communicate school updates, process fees where enabled, record attendance, and comply with lawful requests from the school administration. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

• Payment and receipt workflows where enabled by the school.
• Security monitoring, abuse prevention, and audit logging.

Sharing

Data is shared only with authorized school staff, service providers that host or support the ERP (for example cloud hosting and SMS for login OTP when enabled), and as required by law.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data for third-party advertising.

Security

Production traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are not stored in plain text. Access is controlled by role-based permissions.

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are applied, including session protection, authorization checks, and restricted operational access.

Data retention

Data is retained for school operational, academic, finance, and legal compliance purposes, or as directed by school administration policies. When data is no longer required, it is removed or anonymized according to operational and legal constraints.

Your choices

Parents and students may request corrections through the school office. Teachers may deny location permission, but campus check-in may not work without it. You may log out at any time to remove the session token from your device.

You may request data access, correction, or account-related support through the school administration.

Children

The app is used in connection with school enrollment. Student accounts are managed by the school and linked guardians.

International transfers

School data may be processed using cloud service providers located in different regions, subject to contractual and security controls.

App permissions disclosure

• Location: used for teacher attendance check-in verification.
• Camera/Photos (when enabled): used for uploading profile, admission, or supporting documents.
• Notifications (when enabled): used for school updates and alerts.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms for app store publishing

By using the mobile app, users agree to use school-provided accounts only for authorized educational and administrative purposes. Misuse, unauthorized access attempts, data scraping, or sharing account credentials is prohibited and may lead to account suspension by school administration.
